What's New?
This has been amazing, Oprah's
buyers saw my pears at the New York Gift Show last summer, at Indaba's booth.
Indaba being my new agent. It has been amazing, the media and subsequent
publicity have been quite overwhelming. Newspapers radio and TV have all
been here. I have had to make thousands of the pears. Appearantly (sic) the
store mentioned in Oprah's layout sold a thousand themselves. I was working
12-16 hours almost every day before Christmas and things didn't really slow
down until March, stores had people on waiting lists. I am now recognized
by people on the street and in the stores. OK I even had someone ask me for
my autograph. I have also developed Tendonitis in both elbows and it's fairly
painfully. But the Mortgage is being paid, as is Visa and such. We were even
able to buy a new washing machine. It has taken quite a load off of us, I
hope that I'll still get some mileage out of this for this coming Christmas...
